Family Day Care

Peppertop Sun Steiner Family Day Care

At Peppertop Sun we strive to provide an ideal Waldorf Early Childhood experience for children, situated in a natural Environmental Living Zone bushland called Bend of Islands. Peppertop Sun is where our children will enjoy activity walks, tree climbing and general adventuring throughout the bush.

The unique program is founded on Waldorf Steiner Education principles and curriculum. In addition to loving, Waldorf and/or LifeWays trained and experienced teacher, the program features a natural, home based environment for children to experience the world at their own pace and learn through their senses.

Peppertop Sun will meet the children’s individual needs through rhythmical activities appropriate for their age. The curriculum is structured around the fundamental principles of imitation and example, self-directed play, art, music, movement and life skills. The weekly rhythm may include: painting, drawing, singing, gardening, nature studies, sewing, sand play, water play, cooking, puppet shows and stories, music, dance & movement. The seasonal daily & weekly schedule of activities is provided at the start of each term.

As a registered family day care service, our sessional day is limited to 4 children from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. I am registered with Ignite Minds, so all families will be able to apply for Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate from the government.
